A BABE IN WINTER

King Henry V, Earl Grimme Kyneward’s only protection from his liege, the evil and illegitimate Duke Sheffield, has perished. Henry VI, a mere infant, succeeds the throne and the people ruling England aren’t paying attention to two warring English nobles in the northern climes. There are no Scots involved in this border war.

Even with most of his army gone to France, Kyneward can hold off a siege by Sheffield. He has a secret weapon and an unconventional ally to help him wipe out both Sheffield’s attacking army and his dukedom. From England to Italy and back again, Grimme and Brìghde Kyneward and the rightful heir to Sheffield embark upon a journey to rebuild and return for vengeance for themselves and their family.
