I’ve got my eye on the new HTC tablet. Not only is it the right size for an ereader, it also has an optional pen that I can DRAW with. My little artist heart got to beating so hard when I saw it! It’s $500 bucks right now, so I”m waiting for the price to drop quite a bit, but I have a Best Buy gift card for $140 to go toward it. I CANT WAIT. I was going to sell my little Sony Pocket reader, but I think I better hold onto it now, because it will be awhile before I can get my HTC. And I need to read your digital books, Mo. 😀

No cackling allowed! It’s been almost a YEAR since I got it. LOL

I now have (in order of acquisition):

1. eBookWise (which I still love, by the way)
2. BlackBerry (yes, I read on it a lot)
3. Kindle (I don’t use this as much anymore)
4. Sony 505 (it was a hand-me-down and very handy to read EPUBs)
5. iPad (upon which I do almost all my e-reading now)

Bwahahahaha! She has fallen!

I chose Kindle over Sony for screen quality, too. The Kindle just LOOKS better. The lack of backlight is easier on my eyes, especially after a day on the computer, so I’m reading more ebooks now. I checked out the Nook on the same outing and just didn’t like the look and feel of it, either.

I did my comparisons at Best Buy, where they had several ereaders on display.

I was constantly worried about scratching the Kindle, too. I bought a case about a week after i got the Kindle.

I was basing my judgment of Kindle on the way the Sony looked at Target, and it was so off. I can’t even tell you how different they are.

The Kindle case is working out well thus far, but it needs a few adjustments. I still read as much on my eBookWise (because it’s backlit).

I’ve been thinking about getting a Kindle recently too. I looked at the Sony reader in the Sony store last month and I wasn’t impressed with the screen at all. I’ve been reluctant about buying a Kindle because I’ve never seen one live and in person and I’m afraid I won’t like that either. I need some kind of eReader though. I think it’s ridiculous that my novel is only in ebook format right now and I don’t even own an ereader.
