So poor Eugene’s apparently taking a beating elsewheres in the Mormonosphere.

Not sure we LDS are the type to buy something just to see what all the ruckus is about in spite of the “fact” that we “know” it’s something we “shouldn’t” be reading.

(And for those of you who aren’t LDS, there was absolutely no sarcasm in the above paragraph. Srsly.)

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it; I know it’s always disappointing to pick up something that seems promising and then turns out to be something different.

I didn’t feel that he mocked God or the plan of salvation at all; however, we all bring our own experiences and expectations to any work and your point is well taken.

I, for one, did not like this book. I felt that Mr. Woodbury was mocking God and the Gospel throughout. I did feel that it was well written and had potential to be a good story, but his mocking, derisive tone towards the plan of salvation throughout left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I don’t think it’s out until toward the end of July but Eugene is serializing it on his blog now. I think he’s up to chapter 2.
