I wouldn't’a said it if I didn't mean it.

My favorite SEP is the "circus" book. It's on my keeper shelf.

With Catch of the Day, I liked that she was someone more foolish than I, though I did get impatient with her unwillingness to confront people about their tittering. My only real complaint with Higgins is she doesn't show the men very well. I knew from the beginning she'd end up with Malone, but I wanted to know him better.

No, I didn't know Pam wrote as anybody else, but putting those on my TBR list. Thanks!

Thank you! What a nice way to start the day!

I liked Natural Born Charmer, but my fave of SEP was Ain't She Sweet and it made me everloving faithful in one scene. When Sugar Beth waitresses a party with the Willows, a group of women she used to be queen of.

I had such mexed feelings about Cacth of the Day (apart from the WRONG cover. I've been to Maine and I say *pfft* on the beach shot. I stayed in the house across the street from where they shot King's The Storm right by the Swans Island Ferry). I think you are right, it's more woman's fiction and although I loved Malone, the heroine made me cringe just a little too much. But on your rec, I will go pick up her others.

And have you ever read any of Pam's other work writing as Molly Weatherfeild? Carrie's Story? It's a modern classic I tells ya. I actually gave my copy to Eden Bradley years ago.

You know, I'm like the actors who can't watch their own movies in that I can't re read a story once it's out there. But I'll have to go re read @ Gabriel and figure out why they ring everyone's bells.
